701 BUSINESS HEALTH AND SAFETY PRACTICES
All NZ businesses are required to provide a healthy and safe working environment for their staff, yet many business owners/operators struggle to make health and safety in their work environment meaningful. Developing a workable healthy and safe environment for your business is not simply a matter of ticking the appropriate boxes on bureaucratic forms.
This workshop will help you to educate your staff about personal responsibility for their own health and safety. Understanding and implementing the philosophy behind an "inclusive" approach to health and safety is likely to lead to higher productivity levels and increased staff morale in your business.
The workshop should help you to reduce the frequency of your employer first week contributions to your staff for "lost time" injuries.
Examples of topics:
-
understanding the core "people" reasons behind most workplace accidents
-
how you can best educate your employees to take personal responsibility for their own health and safety
-
how you can create an environment in your business where health and safety becomes the expected "norm"
-
how to manage staff who fail to work in a "safe" manner
The emphasis of this workshop is on the philosophy behind health and safety and wellness in your work place, rather than on the legislative aspects of the Health and Safety in Employment Act.
One -on-one post workshop support will also be available from our expert presenter to review your Health and Safety policies and procedures.
